Really excited to play this one after it arrived yesterday. I have a few questions though:

1) Not sure if I missed a terrain key in the rules but the dark patches are hills or lower ground? And is there any level 2 elevation ?

2) In scenario without the confederate reinforcement rules if the Confederates don’t bring in all of a division on turn of entry, may they bring them in later?

3) For union reinforcement rules, you start the marker at green and move down towards yellow as you activate, right?

Anyways I’ll see if anymore questions come up as I play tonight but otherwise the rules looked pretty good! (Oh well I might do a separate question about LOS and elevation). I also really appreciated the historical background in the scenario booklet!

Hi James,

Thanks for the kind words and the questions.

(1) The darker terrain hexes are level 2 terrain, and the other hexes level 1.

(2) Yes, it's only Scenario 1 where the Confederates are under this restriction, and in Scenarios 2 and 3 they're able to bring them on later.

(3) Yes, you start the marker on the indicated space (the 8 space in the green band in this case) and you move the marker one space to the left (toward the yellow/red) with each activation.

Thanks for the quick reply! I’ll take some pictures and post a session report. Me and my friend are starting a bit of an ACW kick having played The Guns of Gettysburg last time, this time we’ll be playing a shorter more granular game on ACW (Next we might zoom out to the operational level view of Operation Shervport).
