Due to colour issues affecting colour-blind members of my family (myself and another) I'm looking to make a pnp edition. I will of course be buying the game as I always wish to honour Herr Knizia with my shekels (I own several of his games). But it looks like I won't get it before xmas which is what I need it for (family game to avoid monopoly). Would any kind person be able to give me the card distribution? By pm if you prefer.

The Japanese edition, which seemed like the solution, also has this issue. Someone pointed out that the cards have characters but strange as it may seem, I look for colours not characters and the illustrations would have to be extremely distinct to compensate, which they aren't. Similar issues with Lost cities, which I've had to abandon and use a normal deck of cards (making acorns, with a sharpie, out of the clubs from a second deck). It's odd how a veteran like Knizia produces colour-blind-unfriendly games. 1/20 men are affected, so it's not an insignificant issue.

Knizia does neither the graphic design nor the art for his games.

Maybe it is me, but if you have to anyway do a PnP of it, could you not simply scan the front of the cards, pass them through GIMP or PS and find the right colour hue?

Then it would be just a matter of putting the front of the card over the original and sleeve them together.

Just so you avoid a lot of redesign work.

That's a good idea. I might well do that. I do like the art on the new version. Although I would really love some michaelangelo/Da Vinci style art.

Meanwhile, I only have a mono laser immediately to hand, and I'll almost certainly not have a copy of the actual game until some time after Christmas, too late for the purpose.
