Back in 1934 the British lead by Generals Montgomery-Massingberd and Lindsay had created an adhoc mechanized unit for that year's maneuvers. Hobart who was opposed to anything not pure tanks caused the unit to be defeated by an infantry division reinforced with light tanks and antitank guns. Lindsay was shuffled off to India ending up running Anti-Aircraft Command during WWII and Montgomery-Massingbard retired.

However if things had gone better the UK would have ended up with more balanced units.

So you would have the following:

1st Armoured Division with 3 cruiser battalions Bays, 9L and 10H and a motor brigade and a motor MG unit plus an artillery brigade

50th Armoured Division with 3 cruiser battalions 2,3,5 RTR and one of its motor brigades and a motor MG unit plus an artillery brigade

Since the game wrongly gives you THREE motor brigades you could create a third division using the remaing motor brigade and give each division two cruiser battalions, 1 RTR battalion and 1 cavalry battalion plus a recon light tank battalion and one gets the motorcycle battalion and you use the 2nd Armoured Division HQ out of DAK.
