Hmmm. Following that logic, that would then make me Costner, Dan would be Bryan Adams, and Charlie naturally Mastrantonio. Take my money already!

Yah, if the rules are right, this game is mine. Probably my favorite theme of all time, this and the Bring It On movies... tough to decide.

What would you want to see from the game and its rules? I am not allowed to say too much but I am sure I can tell you if we have the same idea on what a Robin Hood game should be

I have played with the idea of a worker placement, pick up and deliver Robin Hood game. Place workers to get gear, then attack the rich travelers, take their stuff and deliver to the poor. Each player was going to have their own crew to run around... that's my poorly thought out idea.

I am clearly Azeem, or Friar Tuck - the two biggest badasses in the movie.

That sounds great!

This game is a worker placement game split in to two phases. You have the worker phase and the hero phase.

You will acquire weapons, build traps/blockades and fight the Sheriff of Notingham.

There will be a push your luck/gambling mechanic and lot lots more

How does it compare to Sherwood Forest? What are the differences?

Hello

There are some similarities but I feel that this game offers a more in depth/tactical approach. Players will have to work together but also decide when its best to push for the win. Its a true worker placement and resource management game. Each player will control one hero and workers/merry men.

There are multiple paths to victory meaning replayability is high.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the comment. Its just my opinion of course, but I think the big issue with Sherwood Forest wasn't that it lacked tactical depth. I would submit than a lot of people simply couldn't understand the super confusing and sometimes contradictory rulebook.

That said, Sherwood Forest also has players collaborating though worker placement to ambush caravans for loot and it also allows players to decide when its best to "push for the win". Additionally, Sherwood Forest combines the extra layer of optimizing route selection with worker placement and resource management to force players to creatively figure out what are the most valuable passing caravans to ambush? Which adds even more weight to the game.

So I'm still working to understand how this game will be different? It looks good though!

My main issue with semi-coop games are that players will often be able to sabotage the game, by making sure they all loose, if they themselves are not able to win. Sadly a lot of people would prefer that they all loose instead of giving another player the victory. How do you handle this issue?
