Do you have to play the 2 player game with automa player? The rule book says to use automa in 2 player game but automa rulebook says it’s for 1 player. Is it optional? I think it’s a pain to have to use automa if you just want to play 2 player game. Is it just recommended for your first 2 player game to use automa?

Thanks!

The Automa is not intended for playing with 2 human players. Instead it’s for playing a 2-player game where 1 of the players is an Automa and 1 is a human.

I hope that clears it up?

You may be confusing the automa with the neutral player that's just there for end game scoring. (Rulebook p7: Neutral Player) That's not the automa, but just 2 cubes on the end game scoring track.
