We really enjoyed this game --- first play today. However, we found it a little hard to tell where one card began and another ended in the castle stacks, and it was easy to "lose" a card behind another. If the cards had a little border around them it might have helped.

I think this is the age old conundrum of gameplay versus immersion. If you do what you suggest, it breaks the suspension of disbelief that Jack is actually climbing a beanstalk. You wouldn't get the triptych effect of the cards bleeding into one another to create a bigger panoramic. I think the effect of "a little hard to tell where one card began and another ended" is exactly what Renegade was trying to convey. I think it just comes down to an aesthetic preference.
