Quick question about the word ALSO.

Basement Entrance

Enter-raise noise by 3 and roll for noise (ok, clear enough)

After Entering-add 5 Cards from deck to unknown. ALSO, you MAY discard this card...to draw and resolve 2 findings cards instead of one.

———-

Why the word ALSO? The way I read this is that you add 5 cards and (also) you get to set the card aside and discard it if you want to later take 2 findings cards instead of one during this scavenge.

Is this the correct reading? 5 Cards and two finding cards (when you get one)...

Or, should ALSO have been OR?

Thanks...

What Josh said.

Once you enter, you earn more exploration time (+5 cards) and set the card aside. In the case that you are allowed to draw a card from the findings deck at a later stage, you can choose to discard the basement card and draw 2 findings instead (you don't have to do it immediately after being allowed to draw a given finding - you might want to wait to use the card in a subsequent finding of a type that you prefer).

I guess that thematically it means something along the lines that you find a sort of safe underground place with lots of stuff (2x findings), which also allows you to search faster (thus the +5 cards).
