Anyone have this problem?

Some token is hard to fit into the white and yellow stand.
Once the edge of the token peel off.
It is impossible to fit them in.

And after few play. It will result in more wear and tear of those monster tokens.

Don't shove them all the way in. I just put mine in far enough to hold the standee up.

Also, use the 3 finger technique to splay open up the tongues.

You can also buy softer stands for around 10cents a pop. If you buy the right ones, you can mod them to be even more flexible.

Am I the only one who read this like a Haiku for some reason?

I've wondered about this and I've seen a video of it somewhere, but can't remember where. Are you sure this can be done with the stands from the second print? I tried it, and they are very solid with no give whatsoever.

Put your thumb on the bottom of the stand, use index and middle finger to put pressure on the "wings" from the top.

I used a softer stand for demonstration, but the (2nd Ed) Gloomhaven stands do seem to have a tiny bit of yield.

As said, I decided to have mercy on my fingers and standees and invested 3$ in new stands (which also had the benefit of being color-coded to match the dice I use for mob health).

I have the same problem, did two things and now everything is good:

1) A bit of superglue painted on the bottom of the token firms it up.

2) https://www.bgextras.co.uk/blue-rectangular-card-stand-i1317...

I had the same problem. A kind chap on Reddit gave me a pro-tip which I am about to share with the lot of you. Sit back and let the knowledge wash over you like a warm bath of sugary soda.

1) fill a small kettle with water and heat it up until the water boils.
2) chuck in the plastic standees. Yes, just drop 'em in the hot water.
3) Wait a minute.
4) One at a time: fish out the standee with a fork and carefully wedge a teaspoon in the standee, so it becomes a little bit wider.
5) Drop the adjusted standee in cold water to solidify.

Voila, all tokens fit comfortably in the standees without damaging the cardboard.

You should also be aware that the 2nd edition has some significant quality issues with the cardboard counters (including but not limited standees), and you're quite likely to encounter the graphics peeling off even on things that don't use standees at all. I think I'm up to at least 5 coins I've needed to glue the face back onto, after only 2 days of playing. I've also needed to glue at least 4 monsters together, and as far as I can remember, none of those came off when fitting them into a stand, they just fell off somewhere along the way.

I suggest investing a couple of dollars in a glue stick and practicing meditation if you start to get irate when it happens.
