The rules are varied for these buildings in the 3 first published Eagles game. Let me summarize what I understand.

Common rules
- no attack by cavalry
- no encirclement
- retreat is optional, rout still compulsory

Stacking limit for special rules
- fermes fortifiées Waterloo 11PE Inf, if more what happens ?
- château Sokolnitz Austerlitz 5 PE Inf, if more, apply no modifier, but it is not a clear hex, cavalry can't attack, guess no encirclement, what about retreat ?
- large buidings Ligny 1 inf unit no size specified, if more apply rules of a village

Modifier
- Fermes Waterloo +3 fire +4 melee
- Chateau Sokolnitz +2 fire +2 melee
- Large buildings Ligny +2 fire +2 melee

Should the rules be streamlined after the last version of Ligny or shall each scenario keep its peculiarity ?

Is it clear on the opposite that villages also in Waterloo should apply +1 fire/+1 Inf melee/+3 cav melee ?

All modules should keep their own Terrain effect chart

For Waterloo, i might propose an optional rule to revise village and stream drm. But keep in mind that at Ligny the prussian had not been able to fortify any position which was the case at Waterloo
