I just played my first session with the Tragic Events expansion which luckily arrived just before Christmas. Happy me!

So, what can i say? I have all expansions there are, but this one plays well with the core of the game! I tested it with the core board and played with three firefighters. My dream team is
* The Rescue Dog (who doesn't love puppies!)
* The Suppression Specialist (from Tragic Events)
* The CAFS specialist

I opted for heroic level. And let me tell you, this fires it up! The Fire Deck starts out with just a few "Fire Rages" cards which basically emulate the normal Advance Fire roll, but on heroic it very quickly speeds up by adding "Flare up" cards to its discard pile which will intensify the fire once the "Accelerate" card which forces you to reshuffle the discard pile into the Fire Deck...

The "Flare Up" then also engages the separate Event Deck which is really fun! It brings some random events to the gameplay. The card I laughed mostly about was "We lost Jenkins" when my Suppression specialist wasn't doing his job, got engulfed in flames and became a victim himself.

Actually, that was sort of my game saver, because I slowly lost control of all the smoke which started to flash over and I was just one damage marker away from the building collapsing on me. Since Jenkins was close to a destroyed wall next to the ambulance my doggy was able to fetch him by the neck and drag him to security... my seventh victim saved! Huzzah!

Well, get that expansion if you can grab it!
Bjorn

Final result here!
