Played it with my brother (first time for both of us), and my brother ran away with it. He was able to get his funding up for both areas while I could not get my private funding up, which was getting particularly aggravating. To be fair, both of us neglected the two specialists that allow you either roll an unused die or modify a rolled die, which could have certainly helped...although I suspect they would have been targeted for theft quite quickly

Some questions did crop up in our play:

(1) Are players required to draft a valid die even if they do not want that die? Or can they just choose to pass?

(2) Following up the above question, is if players are allowed to pass, do they still draft a die and just discard it?

(3) If a phase is not chosen, do the winks in those areas remain on the player tracks until they are used or do players clear their boards at the end of a full round?

One thought - it seems a bit nasty that a player could get a bonus of a specialist for choosing a phase and then promptly have it stolen from them before they can even use them as the bonus is applied first and then players take the selected action in reverse turn order.

Nice to see your report, we thank you.

Yes, you are right. Specialists can be very helpful in that regard. Of course, a high income is not strictly necessary if one can get continuous cash infusions and avoid the Clients phase, or at least be the one to choose it.

(1) Yes, you are required to draft a valid die.
(2) Making this question not applicable.
(3) No, clear all the winks at the end of the turn. We'll make that explicit in the rules.

Re the final thought, yes, that's true. Perhaps we should re-think the way that works. Stay tuned.

OK, can happen.

Good to hear. Very nice putting in the time to create the game as a gift.
