Hi. I see the new one's design is a lot different from this picture. https://boardgamegeek.com/image/3133183/rescue-polar-bears
Is the black one the original version? If so, what has changed?
Just the graphic? Or any changes for the rules?
I can't find the old rule online.
I would like to know the detail.
Thanks in advance!
There are quite some difference between this two versions,
and I tried to make it briefly.
O = Old version
N = New version
O. You randomly place the ice tiles,
then randomly place the bears onto the ice tiles
according to the setting card you draw.
N. You only randomly place the ice tiles,
then place the bears onto the ice tiles
according to the chart on the rulebook.
2.The goal of the game
O. No winning or losing condition
When the game ends, you only check how many points you get.
N. You win if you collect 20 data tokens,
You lose if you don't have any Helicopter to save a falling bear.
(ps. data tokens only exist in new version)
3.The turn flow
O. 1.Draw a support card
2.Take 3 actions
3.Roll 2d20 to check if any ice melts.
4.Check the reproduction and growth of all bears in fixed turn.
N. 1.Take 3 actions
2.Roll 1d20 to check if any bear reproduce or grow up.
3.Roll 1d6 to rise the temperature, and check if any ice melts.
(ps. the temperature only exist in new version)
4.The support cards
O. You will keep many cards in your hand,
and it's more like a card-driven game
since you draw at least one card each turn.
N. You must use the card when you draw it.
There're only five chance for all players
to draw support cards.
5.The player's Boats
The basic function and all upgrade effects
are different in this two versions.

I had a chance to buy the original version. IT had the polar bears as resin figures. I didn't know that otherwise I may not have backed the KS. Now I have to pay an additional $10 for the resin bears.
What other physical changes are in the game from the original?
The kickstarter version comes with resin bears. The $10 add-on for resin bears is just for extras.
