Given the success of 878, I am wondering if 1775 might be revised with added Leaders, events and cool minis? The industry needs a good Revolutionary War game and my only slight on the original is that it didn't really represent the generals and established armies which were the core (for better and worse) of the war.

If they did a 2nd edition 1775, I'd be a sure backer on Kickstarter!

In this thread over on the 878 page, Uwe mentions that 1775 will receive the upgrade treatment, but nothing about adding Leaders.

This game begs a similar upgrade for 1775!

Hmmm.... I do like the 1775 Leader idea.
Let me discuss this with our team.

Uwe is going to have to come up with a larger map for the minis, as in 878. The area around RI is going to get very congested!

You can have army tokens that you use on the map for congested regions that represent armies that can be placed either on a card or elsewhere.

True, but not always fun

Adding leaders might be cool, but please stay with the little blocks! I love them and have no love for minis. I'd much rather play with little blocks than mess around with minis.

I certainly like the leaders idea.

For minis, I found an old game of RISK that had appropriate plastic miniature fighting men, cavalry, and cannons. Appropriate colors too.

Thanks! I actually like yours better. Yours gives that flat, squat, menacing appearance of a Tiger Tank. Nice!

Might be interesting to see some special forces units like sharpshooters, Marines, engineers, etc.

Even things that are in working order can be improved upon.

As an Axis and Allies player, I have always wanted the option to play 1775 with miniatures in a similar way.
As an optional expansion, this should in no way interfere with players who enjoy playing exclusively with the wooden cubes, but it's going to be a fantastic boon to players like me!

Having leaders and more scenarios etc might make for more 1775 added value but mostly I'd go for the expansion for the minis.
