Hi folks, I'm slowly working towards making a mod for KDM to give it a more anime-esque feel emulating the stories you typically find in Light Novels and anime like Hai to Gensou no Grimgar and Danmachi while keeping to a more dark fantasy aesthetic.

---
Glossary
Summoned and Other Worlder - This is used instead of survivor in some cases but has the exact same meaning from a rules perspective.

Village - this is used in replacement of settlement and is used in referring to things such as Village Phase, Village Resources etc.

---
Prologue
Story
With a flash of light, four people appeared in the basement of an ancient ruin. All four could not remember from where they had come.

Climbing the worn stone stairs out of the basement, they found themselves in a ruined village, the distant horizons and skies shrouded in mist.

In the centre of the village stood a pile of discarded and worn weapons. The four approached the pile and each chose a weapon they somehow felt fit them.

Suddenly there was a high pitched squeal and the four saw hulking obese forms closing in on them from the swirling mists.

As they came closer, the three shapes were hunched pig-like beasts that walked on two legs and carried huge cleaver like axes.

Brandishing the weapons they had chosen, the four let out defiant yells and charged the pigs that walked like men.

Begin Setup
1 – Create your Survivors. Each survivor adds “Other Worlder Clothing” to their Gear Grid. Fill out your Record Sheet. Name your Survivor and add 1 to survival. Record your race (Human: +1 Survival which may exceed the Survival Limit by 1).

2 – Create the Pigman AI deck. (1x Enraged Scream, 1x Deep Hack, 1x Drunken Rampage, 3x Belly Slam, 3x Hack).

Before finishing the decks, place the three Belly Slam cards aside and once the AI piles are created, place one of them atop each.

3 – Before beginning the showdown place the Junk Pile terrain on the centre of the board. Each survivor is placed adjacent to the pile and then takes one of the Rusted Sword, Rusted Dagger, Worn Bow or Worn Staff items from it.

Equip these items to your Gear Grids.

4 – Place each Pigman four spaces from the Junk Pile, one North, one East and one West.

5 – Play out the showdown.

6 – Perform the Aftermath from the Pigman Showdown.

7 – Draw and play out the “Other World Arrival” Event. Then Archive it.
---
Other World Arrival
- Village Event –
The Other World Arrival village event will help you set up your village and begin the cycle of your new campaign. It is the first event in any new campaign.

1: The summoned quickly explore their surroundings. The ruins they find themselves in are relatively undamaged, just old and in bad repair. Not only that, but there is a small crystal on a plinth in the centre of the junk pile from earlier that is creating an aura around it which pushes back the ever present mist.

Roll a d10 to determine your starting population and record the result on your Settlement Record Sheet. Choose and record the names, genders and races.

(Gender: Male, Female or Hermaphrodite. These typically won’t come up outside of Intimacy or some events.)

(Races: Humans (Humans gain +1 survival limit with can exceed the village’s survival limit.), Elf (Elves gain +1 Understanding whenever they gain understanding). Dwarf (Dwarves gain +1 Courage whenever they gain courage), Beastkin (Beastkin gain +1 Hunt Experience when they gain hunt experience).

1-3: 6 Unnamed Summoned + returning Summoned.

4-6: 8 Unnamed Summoned + returning Summoned.

7+: 10 Unnamed Summoned + returning Summoned.

2: Return to the Village section of the Prologue and proceed to Update the Death Count.

If this movement lands the Pigmen on the hunting party’s space, the Pigmen Ambush the hunting party.

If they explore it, roll a d10. 1-5 it was a trap, as the hunting party enters the barn, a group of Pigmen ambush them, the Pigmen Ambush the hunting party, begin the showdown. 4-9 seeing the insides of the barn, the hunting party is awed by its sturdy design which has weathered the passage of time, each survivor gains +1 understanding and +1 courage. 10 inside the hunting party discover a treasure trove of material somehow still preserved after all this time, gain 1d5 basic resources.

Active Magic Circle

If they do, roll a d10. 1 roll a damage dice three times and apply an event damage to each location. 2-4 roll a damage dice and suffer an event damage to the location. 5-9 a new survivor appears in the circle, add +1 population to the village. 10 a hero appears, add them to the village.

Showdown: Pigman
-Quarry-

Enraged, the witch cursed them as she died. As time passed the bestial lustful men’s bodies changed to resemble the truth of their disgusting souls they hid under the veneer of humanity they wore as a mask.

While I don't disagree, Berserk/Uzumaki/Jojo is pretty different in flavour from Re:Zero/DanMachi/Grimgal.
