I have recently bought the Samurai Battles core game and I need to use cards translated into Italian to play with my Italian fellows.

I have personally translated them (very randomly though, just found a listed card file and modified it putting new text in Italian on it, quality is not top but it should do)

Now I'd like to share and upload them. Do you know if I need to ask for permission first to the authors or can I just go ahead.

Regards

Riccardo

I would think so, there are other examples of the rules being translated.

Getting permission could be highly problematic, since Zvezda Games support seems to have dwindled. Guess you could try asking them, but given the existing exceptions, doubt there is any issue.

On BGG, there are files similar to your for other games in this series and no one has ever made a fuss, after all you're helping to enlarge the market.

I agree with Mark and Loris. Feel free to go ahead. Unofficial translations abound on BGG and, as I see it, you are basically doing them a favor.
