All units under command of one of your heroes (that hero also count as a part of a regiment)

You follow specific rules to build each regiment (total point value, number of medium and large disks, only one elite unit, etc) and you put (usually) 2 or 3 regiments together to make up your army.

It's a tool/set of rules for army building. After you've chosen your army it makes no difference.

Yes. Within the regiment, they have to all be of the same color. An army can have regiments of different colors as long as all the regimens are either Order or Destruction.
