Encounter Cards: Who gets the +/- damage? Is it every time that type of ability card is played, and in addition to the standard damage delivered?

Ability Cards: How do you get >20 or <1? When do these effects apply?

Some monster has a passive trait to be weak (gets more dmg) to a particzlar element, or strong to some (gets less dmg). It only affects that one monster.

You roll d20 all the time. Theres a 5% chance to roll a 20 for absolute succes. And 1 means absolute failure. Therr are some effects ( monster surge ability, playee ability card, items-loot) that may modify your roll.
For exp you use your item tjat will add +5 to your next roll. You roll 18. Thats total 23 thus >20

Thanks Bence! I should have gone through the entire deck before our first play so I could have noticed the +/- dice roll effects. We also needed to pay closer attention to what type of damage we were causing to the enemy!
