I hope this hasn't been asked before, but a search turned up nothing. In my wife's and my first game, she sent a wine from Tras-os-montes to the fair while I sent a Duoro. Mechanically, how is the +2 applied?
1) Figure the fair value just like any other wine, but add two to the track as a final step.
2) When computing the quality, add +2 before consulting the chart on the player board. In other words, a 3 white is now a 5 white, earning 2 fair points instead of 1.
I think we played correctly but want to make certain. Thanks.
The symbology on the tile is very clear (at least it was in the original game), it's +2 Fair Points. Nothing to do with wine quality.
