Rules for Pandemic Iberia – Competitive Game Challenge
This challenge can be played with 2, 3 or 4 players who form two teams competing to win.
Use the setup rules for the base game of Pandemic Iberia with the following changes:
Remove the Politician Role card and pawn from the game before dealing the roles to the players in Setup Step 4.
The game can be played with 2, 3 or 4 players. But always deal out four Role Cards in Setup Step 4. Four pawns are used in the game and in Setup Step 5 the cards are setup as for a 4-player game.
In Setup Step 5 the players place their pawns on the board in the order of their turns.
TEAMS AND WINNING
The players form two teams competing to win. Blue Team controls the pawns with the first turn and third turn. Red Team controls the pawns with the second turn and fourth turn.
With 4 players, the players with the first turn and third turn form the Blue Team. This team wins (and the game ends) if they Research the Blue or Black Disease. The other two players form the Red Team, who win if they Research the Red or Yellow Disease. If no disease has been Researched at the end of the game, Blue Team win if the number of blue and black Disease Cubes on the board is less than the number of red and yellow Disease Cubes on the board. Otherwise Red Team wins.
With 3 players, the player who goes first is the Blue Team, controlling the pawns that have the first and third turns. The other two players are the Red Team.
With 2 players, the player who goes first is the Blue Team and the other player is the Red Team.
