Subject: Split up movement points rss

Can I split the action point?

2 movement points = 1 action point

Say I want to move 1 zone then do some other action thats cost 1 full AP (say Trade for example) and then move 1 zone to fight.
That would (if allowed) be 3 APs in total.

is it allowed to use the action points like this?:

1 movement point (half of first action) -> 1 AP (Trade)-> second movement point from first action -> 1 AP for 1 attack

No. All movement points gained must be spent or lost before the next action is taken:

Cant believe I missed that very clear written sentence.
Sometimes you just cant see the rules cause of all of the words

So, you can't take a ranged shot at an enemy, then duck around a corner to avoid counter-attack / get out of LoS?

Sure you can, you just have to split it into actions in a valid way.

Action 1: Movement Action: Move (1 MP) -> Move (1 MP) from wherever
Action 2: Attack
Action 3: Movement Action: Move (1 MP) -> Move (1 MP) into shadow aroudn the corner
Counter-attack... oops, no LOS out of shadow *pfft*

Yup! Some classes also have abilities to help with this. For instance you can attack three times like normal on the Bloodmoon Assassin, then use Shadow Crawler to get out of line of sight and into a new shadow zone. If the enemy is melee only, you can also just run 2 spaces away. The enemy will be able to catch back up with you, but not counter-attack.

The Bloodmoon Nightrunner has a similar strategy with their Signature Sprint. As long as you have Smoke Bomb you can run away and prevent a counter attack (and also wound the enemies as you flee if you are melee and in their zone!).
