Once again, I had some spare time on my hands and a couple of game boxes desperately in need of a decent insert...

The main reason I wanted to make an insert for Altiplano is to reduce the setup time from 15 minutes to 15 seconds. There are tons of resource chits, and every player count needs a different amount of them, but I think this solution works...

Anyway, here's my take on an insert for Altiplano.

The chits are divided in 4 compartmens: if you play with 2 players, you only need the first compartment, if you play with 3 players, you use the first and second compartment, 4 players, the first, second and third compartment,... and so on.

If anybody wants to try this or has any questions, just ask!

Very nice work.
I really like your method of using CAD to first get a model that makes you near certain that the design will work.
Are you using Solidworks?

Thanks so much for the pictures of your work.

I have recreated the insert and I'm totally excited. I built three removable boxes for the coins and the food.

Looks great. You used 5mm foam board?

Thanks

No, I used 3mm board. I tried it first with 5 mm, but then the big parts (Street) did not fit.

Could you provide plans, cutout sheets, files, measurements? It looks great but I don't think that I could manage to do it without a bit more guidance.

Un trabajo espectacular.Impresionante.
Yo me uno también a la petición de los planos con sus dimensiones.

Me encantaría poder fabricarme uno igual.

Gracias.

This looks absolutely amazing!
Do you have the measurements so I can try to recreate this awesome insert?

Since I have now bought the extension from Altiplano at Spiel, I will try to get this into the Insert.

If that doesn't fit, I'll build a new one and then sell the old one you see in the pictures below.

In any case, when I build a new one, I will write down the measurements and post them here. But that can take a while.

Any thoughts on whether this would work with coin capsules on your coins?

That depends on how much thicker the chits become with the coin capsules... There is not much space left.

And no room to make the skits wider I take it? I really like your setup, but I worry the capsules make it a no-go.
