I was wondering if anyone can point me in a good direction to start deck building? Thank you.

People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

Have a look at dtdb.co You can see what other people's decks look like and get a general idea of what the different deck structures look like. There are numerous well written articles out there as well on sites like Gomorragazette.com

The most important consideration is throughput, the ability to play cards that come into your hand.

Seriously, if ever a game needed an online deck builder, it's Doomtown.

Think about your Shootout hands first!

Yes, you start by thinking of which value range you want to stick to. It takes some time to wrap your head around, but once it clicks you'll find the general concept easy.

The hardest trick is knowing what to cut once you've picked the compatible cards you like to trim the deck down to 52, but it's generally easy to get themed decks which also play well.

Good advice! In case that link doesn't work, try this one: https://dtdb.co/.

Seconding this link from above (http://forums.pineboxentertainment.com/t/some-basic-deckbuil...) and everything else in the "New Players" category on the official forum.
