Do both the loot you find in a scenario and the gold reward you receive upon completion of those scenarios that have a monetary reward get to use the scenario level multiplier?

...that IS a multiplier (based on the scenario level table), right? Or is the amount displayed in the table ADDED onto your total value?

Monsters drop coins when they die (unless they were spawned or summoned)
and some scenario maps have coins that are placed on certain hexes.
These coins are what are multiplied by the gold factor based on the scenario level. (i.e. if the scenario was played at difficulty level 1, then each of these coins is worth 2 gold)

Gold listed as scenario rewards, and gold listed as being inside a numbered treasure chest is not multiplied. if it says you get 15 gold, then you get 15 gold, regardless of what level the scenario is played at.

AFAIK, whenever something refers to "coins", that is multiplied by the scenario multiplier to be converted into gold. If something refers to "gold", it is already in gold, so there's no multiplying going on.

I think there are a couple of road events that reward something really paltry, like "2 coins" or "3 coins", whereas the vast majority of events refer to "gold". In those cases, we have awarded ourselves coins which we put on our hero card at the beginning of the scenario, then multiply by the scenario multiplier along with all the other coins we collect at the end of the scenario. I don't know if that's correct or not, but it's certainly not game-breaking, and it seems to make sense, because the only time we've encountered the word "coins" on an event, the number has been very small.

Only money tokens are multiplied - money tokens dropped by monsters, or placed during scenario setup.
Rule book page 33 wrote:
Success or failure, players tally the experience their individual characters earned during the scenario and tally the money tokens their characters looted during the scenario and convert them into gold. Each money token looted is worth an amount of gold based on the scenario level and specified on the chart on p. 15.
