I usually do escape room games with my wife and daughter. This one is getting great reviews (and I just picked up the Mattel reprint) but it sounds like there is a lot to solve in 60 minutes. That's great, but I'm wondering if I should play it with a larger group than 3.

We played it with 5 and think it took all 5 of us to accomplish all the puzzles.

I also played it with 5 and thought we were all fairly engaged the entire time, although you may be able to do it with 3-4 as we had some time remaining. At least 4 might be good so you can have pairs working on puzzles. We had just done a real escape game the day before though, so we were warmed up

My one tip: play on a large table to help stay organized.

We think the ideal number is 4-6.
