That's a Palm Pilot on the left, and a pink iPod mini on the right. Yes, I've been doing BGTG that long!

Since the answer to those kind of questions is usually Yes, I suppose what I’m really asking for are those titles. The B-47 was Strategic Air Command’s bomber of the 1950s, bringing the technologies of swept wings, jet engines, and nuclear bombload to the intense early years of the Cold War. Every jetliner we fly today (not to mention the B-52 Stratofortress that replaced the Stratojet) is clearly derived from the B-47.

Good question. My father in law flew those before going to B-52's.

Yep, 3rd and 4th row on the right, in the blue US counters:

... they were SAC bombers, saw no service in Korea or Vietnam, so it would have to be alt history WWIII titles at the global level for a B47 to play a part (right? Unless there's a game out there about airframe development and testing, or NASA experiments ).

"Historical Board Gaming" offers them in their 'Global War 1936 - 1945' for the 'Amerika' expansion (which are all offshoots of the Axis & Allies style game). They're plastic minis in the American Heavies set.

Fail Safe

Also has the B-36, B-58 and B-60.

Variants for Ultimatum also have counters for these aircraft.

Red Menace has them too although I do not recall exactly how many. This game is mainly a bomber vs. bomber battle.

[Computer] The Operational Art of War II: Modern Battles 1956-2000 had several Cold War scenarios where these B-47 (and B-58 too) were key to start operations towards air superiority (EDIT: over Germany, from British bases). Even never using nuclear bombs.

LOL! That bomber may have been a bit too late to be in Patton, since it's latest scenario starts in '48 IIRC.

That didn't stop the Patton game from having a B-50!

Birds of Prey: Air Combat in the Jet Age has an Air Data Card (ADC) for the B-47, the B-58 and B-52 bombers. This game focuses more on the dogfighting and maneuvering of modern jet air combat, but there are scenarios with fighters intercepting bombers with escorts.

Though the B-47 has a lower number and was on the drafting table first, the B-50 was an up-engined B-29 with a higher vertical stabilizer and strengthened airframe. It was an interim aircraft geared toward atomic bomb delivery until high-altitude jet bombers could enter service.
