Just to give some feedback on wording, spelling, and stuff. Order of presented text, yes. The rules themselves, if you want to.

The Text (google.doc)

Notes/comments: here or in the document.

Re: You want to read some rules?
Just a few quick corrections for the first paragraph

Due to climate change, the northern tribes are moving to the south to find new lands and there, they encounter the local militia roaming the Sacred Woodoms. War is upon them all as the local tribes won't make way, not willingly giving up their lands. Who will reign the land of Deer? What is the threat that is hiding in the shadows as the Deer king weakens? What treasures are hidden in the Sacred fields?

Wow! You did a really nice job in formatting that doc.

Thanks! Did rebuild it/rearranged it, (to the better I see now).

I'm just skimming it now, but I will definitely be taking a closer look. ... High-level, for starters, I love the asymmetric winning conditions!

Good to hear

-The line-of-sight mechanic is quite interesting!

Okey, I should keep that then

-The 8x8 circles has great appeal.

Did this over decorated mockup of an game board.

Quote:
-The multiple setup examples are very compelling.

Yes, do like them to. Think of them as some kind of cultural starting points. As if it would hav, if it was hundreds of years old.

...It also reminds me of Cyvasse, the fictional game in Game of Thrones, but I know there are actual games that utilize this.

Oh! never heard of it! This is somewhat a mix of an old idea I had about a game that I did a hazzard-game out of (of its pieces).

Q: How is the game performing in initial testing?

Good, but have not had many playtests, and have not had with my daughter, who usually is quick in finding weak spots. Will seek up that thread and post this there. Thanks a lot!

Not trying to be too much of a curmudgeon but could you put the name of the game in the title and/or the original post?

I have read through most of it, I can understand it quite easily, there are just some parts where the grammar could be a little bit clearer.

I have made some very slight changes to the link page, you had on your first post.

Did see that, thank you! What part was most unclear? Is there rules I have to explain more or is it the grammar in itself?

The small things I noticed were on subheadings you have "the" I think "The" would be better, the other thing I noticed is, places where "are" would be more appropriate you have "is" instead.

I think the game looks good I'm interested in playing it

I found the rules very clear to understand, it was just small grammar things like "moved" instead of "move", really it's just minor things that need to be fixed.

I started going through it and commenting in the document. I'll see if I can get back in and finish the rest in the next day or two.

Hey... I was thinking about the exchange we were having in the comments around coming up with something other than "attacker" and "defender"... maybe build out the story and mythology for the game a bit and come up with a name for each "side" in the game. I think that would flow nicely from a deeper story for the game.

Just food for thought...

I just finished going through it all and making very small changes, I hope it was helpful and I look forward to seeing the game when it ready for play-testing.

Did notice that.

It is possible to test it now I think, rules will probably not change anymore (I think). Working on a alternative game board with more theme, but the one available is the one you see in the text.
