Hey all, quick question about how everyone tracks Monster HP. It doesn't seem to be much of an issue until a monster takes some damage during the Monster Phase, but doesn't die. How does everyone track that particular monsters HP (HP tokens on card and monster, or some other method?). Does that also mean you need to specify which monster/card you are targeting on the Hero Attack Phase? Cheers

I haven't played ToA but for the other games in the series you use the damage markers that have a "divot" at the top. These fit nicely around the base of the minis so you can tell which specific one has what amount of damage. As to your second question, yes you need to specify which monster you are attacking.

While primarily used for killing vampires, a wooden stake to the heart is also highly effective against most other opponents.

Page 10 of the rules has a picture of a "Monster Hit Point Token" if you're curious which one to use.

Damage tokens go next to the plastic figure, not on the card. This is important because if you have more than 1 of a monster in play and you kill one then you always remove the card that you control or that is nearest to you on your left (if you don't control one).

This means you don't track which card is for which monster as they will both activate together anyway, but killing the card closest to activating will give you more time to get the other one.

I agree with the above replies, but to track villain damage, we just put HP tokens (the ones used for PCs) on the villain card.
