This game is really deserved a computer treatment, or otherwise its popularity dies down. It could have been a very hot and popular game than many of other light wargames like The Great War, Battlelore, Memoir'44, etc. The designer said he sold the digit right to Hexwar but so far no news about anything on iOS. I really hope a Vassal module can come out eventually as I don't think they are entirely competing. They only fuel much much more interests about the game.

I have a solution to this, but first:

Was this one also optioned to Hexwar? The original QMG Hexwar license expired:

As mentioned there, Zach (kingerc) did some great work on a QMG:1914 script that you can use to play on the BGG forum. I followed up on that with a script for the original QMG + expansions. Details of these can be found in the respective PBF forums, with several games having been played with the scripts (a few with Ian participating).

I also have a similar script for Victory or Death. It's pretty much ready to go, and I was planning on starting a game here soon. Using Google Slides for the map has worked well.

A mobile app would be even better of course.

For what it's worth, the scripts are actually much easier to use than VASSAL, mostly because they do far, far less. You're basically quoting a post, clicking on a link, and selecting from a short menu.

Here's what we're using for the map for QMG, seems to be working very well:

You can play around with that, I've left it open to edits for now. Just drag the units around.

Can we try a script-game, if you are going to organize one? So the cards are all text, right? Is it a PBF game then?

Absolutely. I just need to finish up the map file; I can start up a thread in the PBF forum here this week.

The script gives you the type and title of the cards, not the full text. The script handles the decks only.
