Hi all,

I own CCA and all its expansions.
Each expansion has some additional unit and terrain rules.
But some overlap.

I find cumbersome to have to skim through five expansion rulebooks when I want to play a scenario.

Has a rulebook containing the basic rules and special unit, terrain rules, etc. from expansions 1-4 and 6 (5 being epic, it is another ruleset altogether) been published?

I don't believe it has been published, but your post shows that it would be an excellent idea!

Ccancients.net has all of the rules there (maybe split up in diff pages, but at least it's "all on the computer")

Do you have a link, by any chance?
"Ccancients.net" seems to be missing something.

I cut my rules apart and put them in two binders. One binder has all the rules, and another has all the scenarios.

Thanks for the answers.

I scanned the pages of the rulebooks and merged them.
Not as good as a comprehensive rulebook, though.

I also have a binder with all the scenarios of all the modules, sorted by date.

If GMT is lurking here, perhaps my idea would stimulate their creating the rulebook that I was asking about ?

That's what I did.

I don't think GMT will do anything in this respect, it would take time and money to rewrite a comprehensive summary and the potential target is small, and made of people that already bought the games, so they have nothing to win.

They may support a fan-created release? What about an online version living in something in Google Docs (easy to comment/cooperate on)?

I would also add that, based upon what I read in another thread below, the living rules for CCA are no longer being updated as the link on the living rules page is not up to date with the latest rules from the most recent reprint.

However, it would be a great thing to have them all merged.

I made this suggestion to Richard Borg in a private message back in July. His comment was that now that CC: A was essentially finished and moving on to Medievals, now would be a good time for a consolidated rulebook and that he would suggest it to GMT.

Cheers,

Mark

I made a Special unit compedium and I am waiting for BGG to agree with its upload here : I will give the link asap.

The rules are listed in alphabetical order (e.g. Julian Legions rule comes before Marian Legions rule).
I didn't include additional units which are easily managed through the charts (e.g. Bow Cavalry).

When the file is uploaded on BGG, I will give the link in this thread - and all suggestions or remarks are welcome.
