Rick Vinyard puts on an awesome annual contest for the most anticipated games of the year. Brass was actually his personal number one most anticipated game for 2018! During the nomination process Brass came in 3rd or 4th.
If you are looking forward to the release of Brass: Lancashire or Brass: Birmingham this year and have a moment to spare, please consider voting for them in the link below:
Thank you for all the support we've seen from this awesome community, and long live Brass.
Thanks so much!
For anyone that hasn't yet seen the final results, both Brass: Lancashire and Brass: Birmingham made the final list of the 20 Most.
Final Results: 20 Most Anticipated Games of 2018
Normally, all releases are consolidated into a single entry, such as the Imperial Assault expansions for 2018, etc.
However, as Lancashire is a reprint (which won the "Reprint" category) and Birmingham is a new game I thought there might be some discrepancy in their anticipation.
As you'll notice Lancashire only slightly edged out Birmingham (although consistently), and based on the voting patterns it appears that they are in essence equally anticipated.
In fact, the only category where there was any separation was the "Strategy" category where Rising Sun managed to move between the two.
Now, I can only imagine what Roxley could do with Last Train to Wensleydale if they were so inclined.
I think they really hit it out of the park with this edition of Brass, and I'm quite looking forward to it (both Lancashire and Birmingham, equally).
