I have Samurai Swords and I love it. I usually have 5 other gamers in my group. I am wondering if the pieces for Shogun are any different color wise than the Samuari Swords rerelease? I would like to be able to play this game with 6 players instead of the standard 5. Any info/help would be great

Bighab (#31649),

No, same colors. Same everything really, except the rule book has some minor changes in your version.

Bighab (#34229), No, if you have one set, you basically have them both.

I know this is very old thread, but I thought I'd add to it since I have some info. I currently have 4 copies of this game, and I am in the midst of putting together 2 full games (possibly 3) and ending up with a bunch of spare parts.

I did notice that one old copy of Shogun I have, had different colored red guys, they are very pinkish, almost like they used cheaper plastic or something, it is VERY noticeable, so much so that I couldn't use any of the red guys from that set in the other sets as they stand out as being very different.

This gets asked a couple of times a year. My detailed list of the differences is in this thread.

Sphere's list is great! I've got so much of this stuff sitting in front of me right now, and one of the things were two different rule books, thanks for the work to make that list, you saved me a lot of time trying to determine if there were differences in then.

I have a German copy that has different colours to the (I assume it is) American copy.

Compared to the American the German copy colours differ in these ways.
Orange: a little brighter, slightly less saturated.
Red: darker, less saturated.
Green: a little brighter.
Blue: a little brighter, hue closer to blue than cyan.
Purple: very different hue, saturation and lightness.
American... ...German

Also, all the colours are flat/matte compared to the American and more opaque. There is no mistaking any of them for one another.
