I am looking for ways to visually improve this already great game, and I thought about adding some castles (pagodas?) figurines and ressource locations markers in order to make them easier to identify by looking at the board.

For ressource locations, I will probably use standard red wooden disks. But for the castles, I was not able to find an appropriate figurine I could use.

Do you know where i could find suitable castles figurines, both in size and historically accurate?

Did any of you improved their game with additionnal components already?

Now that I think about it, Samurai has nice figures you can use. Rice paddies for resources and Pagodas for castles. It is also a very good game 😉

Hands down the best J-castle miniatures in the gaming world.
I have a couple sets of them I've been planning to re-purpose to Sekigahara... I am thinking to paint the castles generically and cast a few more bases to color code gold or black.

Would the castles be too big compared to the blocks?

BGG user phillipwilson made some castle models for 3D printing. They can be seen in the latest "Pimp my Board Game Contest" thread.

Don't think so, height of pagoda is less that 2 blocks stacked.

Where did you source them? I'm interested in pimping my Sekigahara this way!

If Sekigahara should be reprinted, GMT could include VP, resource, -and castle-tracks. That's one of the few criticism I have with this game.

How many castle pieces of each color do you need for the game?
