I primed the base box and started working on them tonight. I primed the base box in grey, and started on the monsters. Who else has decided to paint them up?

Re: Who is painting the models?
I sure will, as I can use the minis in other games, too. But I will have to wait until the 2nd KS is shipping..

Re: Who is painting the models?
I started with the monsters, but now am thinking I should do the characters first, since they get the most use in the game.

Funny we started with the same models
I am moving on to the skeletons and trees. Will post when they are done.

Re: Who is painting the models?
I finished up the wraiths and the trees and am about halfway done on the skeletons. I think I may diverge from the book art for the skeletons and some of the other models, but wanted to stay somewhat consistent with the source for the first few models.

Re: Who is painting the models?
I backed the 2nd printing and can't wait to get my hands on this game.
My approach to painting these games with a massive amount of minis has changed over the past year or so. In the past, I would start with heroes/player figures and paint 2-4 of them and then move on to the monsters. I'd get stuck deciding between painting or playing, sometimes doing neither. Now what I do is to throw down a quick multicolor or zenithal prime on all of the figures. They immediately look better on the table than plain plastic. Plus, the first step of painting is done and that means the minis are ready to paint whenever I am ready. No more delays regarding weather, drying time, etc. Currently I'm just using spray cans, but I'm about to upgrade to an airbrush to do this.
tl;dr summary: Buy game. Zenithal prime all minis. Play game. Paint when you can.

Re: Who is painting the models?
I hear ya. I have it set up and am playing while I paint. The tray makes it easy to transport them from game table (set up in my small office) to the living room where I have been painting while watching TV. Since I play mostly solo, this works out well for me.
