Wow jeez the artifact pack is expensive. I just realized that now. $60 for token upgrades seems a bit much. I'm not really sure why such a high price point was given to it, it seems like it should be either a stretch goal or like a $20-25 add on, not the cost of a whole game.

It's simply because it contains a huge amount of plastic figures. I promise we're not trying to gouge our backers, just attempting to keep from losing money on a small-print-run product which will almost certainly not be sold commercially.

The Shining Trapezohedron (Cthulhu Wars equivalent upgrade pack) was worth every penny.

I agree. It is also nonessential, so it should be easy to pass on it for somebody who does not think it is worth the price.
