Hello, Im planning to get this game, but I missed all KS,now I have the following confusion:
1) In the new KS French Expansion which state regarding the core game:
"Check out the pledge levels to order a copy of the new improved version, or if you already own the game you can just order the redesigned figures along with your French Army expansion."

Is that means in retail version ,French Army Expansion will also include the redesigned figures to replace all figures in the core game?
If so I am going to pick the old version now and wait the retail version expansion release.

2) The Special personnel figures for Germany and British will included in the RETAIL version French Army expansion?

Any further advice before I buy this game? Many Thanks!!

The retail version of the French Army will include the new "specialists" figures for the British and German armies.

It will not include ALL the figures for the British and German armies.

If you wish the new figures, contact PSC directly about when those will be available. They will be sold in the 2nd edition of the base Great War game. I see the "Centenary Edition"used to describe it, so look for that. (Hey, PSC folks-- will the base game with new figs be labeled as "Centenary Edition" on the box?)

In the KS, they were selling replacement figures for folks who already own the base game. I believe they will sell this separately as well, if you want to go ahead and buy the base game now.

The "pre-release" shop of PSC is offering the Great War Centenerary as well as the Great War French PLUS the new figures. You have some choices.

The great war figures are easier to handle then the, very beautiful, samurai battles figures. At least in my experience. I would go for the improved figures of the second edition.

Yes, I am now thinking to wait for second edition. My main concern is if new edition and the French Expansion's figures change the material, the outlook(like shinness, softness) may be different from the core game.

Really want to pick the game now, but may be I should have more patient.

Yeah, I'm personally holding out for the Centenary Edition of the base game as well as the French expansion, both planned for June release so that all the figures 'match'. Just hold out for those if you haven't gotten anything yet
