Can you load raw material goods such as wool and leather onto cutters?

Based on the size of the spaces on the cutters, they will only fit wood, clay and tea but the rules only say you can’t use them for destination tiles and don’t differentiate between any other goods.

Many thanks,

Paul

Checked the German rules, there is nothing to clarify that except the illustration. Since the Tea goes onto the cutter in a way that it fits the space, I assume that this is the only way that goods are allowed to be loaded.
Anyway, it would make no sense otherwise, since all the graphics on the Arle tiles are clearly intended to help you implement the rules.

But there is no clear statement in the rules that would disallow the shipping of large raw materials on cutters.

However, the intent seems to be very clear: Only small goods (one space goods) can be loaded on the cutter.

Thank you. That was how I played it; seemed to make the most sense.

While you're waiting on an official answer, note that the Large Cutter has the same layout as the Wagon.

FoA base game rules, page 11:
"You cannot combine the Single Spaces of the Wagon to fit bigger tiles."

That's what the OP wrote, and I totally agree. Just an official clarification would be great.

I'm not sure what needs to be clarified. The only materials that fit in those spaces are wood/clay/tea. Nothing else fits there. End of story.
