Looks like I'll be using him for a while as my personal quest just isn't happening. So I thought I'd make him look better.

You did a really good job, but I just can't unsee the mustache. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, in fact it adds a lot of charm to your version, as opposed to an army of other brutes out there. You can fix it, or make the gimmick your own. Your choice.

Good work. This game has really gotten me into the idea of painted miniatures. My game accidentally came with an extra Mind Thief and I decided on a whim to paint it. I was so pleased with the outcome that I've ended up painting the rest of the starter classes and will probably paint the other characters as they become unlocked.

I just painted our brute last night as well. The miniature is a pretty nice sculpt with tons of texture. Throw a black or brown wash on yours to make that texture pop!

Without wash.

Completed figure with wash.

Happy painting. And God bless, my friend.

I'm thinking about painting miniatures for the first time. Did you use a red wash or red paint on the sword and shield? Same question for the jewel in the pommel.

The blood is about 1:1 mephiston red and water. The jewel is a less watery version of it.

I highly recommend checking out Sorastro's painting guides on YouTube. He does an excellent job explaining everything.
