I recently came across Twitch for boardgames and I was wondering do any of you have any experience with it? Are there any channels you would recommend and would you consider streaming your own games?

I considered streaming the tournament games for War of the Ring.

I don't think I understand the point of this. Watching these feels like I showed up late to the meet-up, but I can't talk to anyone and can't really see what's going on.

Done well, it is a good way to see how a game plays that you might be interested in, particularly longer and more complex games that don't usually have runthrough videos on Youtube review sites.

LoadingReadyRun is a good channel, although they do board games once per week - I believe it's usually Wednesday nights (called AFK if you go check their VODs). They also just added a Monday night D&D game to their schedule.

This is their latest AFK broadcast: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/222060251

But the tradeoffs are that you can rewind and review at your leisure, you don't have to sit through the whole session in one sitting, some of the things are zoomed in (e.g. zombie gen-cards in Zombicide: Black Plague), and it's accessible over the internet (as opposed to having to go to your local game night, or an hours away convention).

Thx, will check that one out. There is also one that is run by Twitch employees. You can find board game geeks everywhere ;-)!
