Hi,
Am I right in assuming that if you assault a vehicle everybody fights with their hef but the vehicke would then get an armour save against all assault hits, using a card pull against the bottom left armour factor
Can’t find anything in the rules?
Mike

There are no special rules for vehicles in assault combat. As a result vehicles are quite vulnerable. As they don’t have an assault ability they can’t initiate assaults and defend with a hef of 1. They take hits normally - first hit shakes, second eliminates.

Playing first game with vehicles tonight.

So a fast move infantry squad can burst into the open and blow up a defenseless tank. Nice. Wouldn't be that big of a deal in a "normal" game but in a game where you need to have a fire card and the hand size is 4 having a tank is a pretty big liability.

This maybe harsh but tanks are vulnerable to close range infantry if they don’t have infantry support.

The problem is not having a fire card in your hand....

I don’t know how realistic the rules are, but you can at least mitigate your concerns - stack infantry with tanks, don’t end tank movement within movement of infantry, use hand management to increase the chance to have fire cards available (there are a lot in the deck), keep a fire card handy for opportunity fire. Of course the uncertainty over whether people have a fire card or not in their hand is part of the fun.
