Just curious where people are buying plastic bags.

I usually buy mine at walmart, but recently I moved and have nothing by me for bags.

I really want some bags with white boxes to be labeled with a sharpie, but it seems places like amazon have higher prices.

Just trying to catch some recommendations to buy bags online

You can look up "candy bags" too usually.

Beading shops are a great place to get a variety of game storage bags. You can find plastic baggies of nearly any useful game-storage size, and they often have felt drawstring bags as well, which make ideal storage for counters/chits that are drawn randomly.

I checked amazon. 100 bags at walmart was around $2-$3 where amazon is charging $7-$10

I really like the portion control snack bags. They're basically the exact same dimensions as the bags that come with most games, seem to have a nicer thickness than the regular snack bags, and I've seen them at all sorts of grocery stores and pharmacies, usually for cheaper than the same amount of the regular snack bags. They're my go to for when I need extra game bags (though I also have a number of games that came with extra bags that I should do a better job redistributing).

The exact bag I listed is $6/100, but either way I'll gladly pay the Not Going To Walmart Tax. Though now that I see it the craft store is probably the best of both worlds.

I used to get mine from Walmart or Hobby Lobby, then I decided to look for thicker ones on Amazon.

First I bought 6 mil bags, which turned out to be pretty darn thick.

So when I ordered some smaller ones, I tried 4 mil, which seems to be a good thickness. I prefer them to the thin crap you get at Walmart or Hobby Lobby, to the extent that as we play games, I rebag them in the new bags.

I usually get bags at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. The bags I get with games are usually far too large for my tastes.

I bought the 2mil Beadaholic brand ($6-$9 for 500) and the 2 mil Anamax brand ($10/1000) from Amazon.

Cheaper than Walmart and I didn't have to go to Walmart (a win-win!)

The heroin dealer a couple of apartments down from me always has spare empty bags he'll give me. I think he gets them from Amazon. whistle

Hobby Lobby has a nice assortment of sizes. You can find them over by the jewelry area, but I've literally seen them scattered about the whole store. They don't have the white window your looking for, but just look up the weekly 40% coupon and you can get them real cheap.

I do mail order a lot of things. In fact, I mail order most things.

Pete (supposes that he might be getting more plastic bags shipped to him than most people do)

I like horizontal openings instead of vertical openings. I save the vertical ones to bag things when I sell/trade/etc.

Every year or so I order another 1,000 bags from Royal Bag. They make an excellent product that I find significantly better than the similar bags from ULine et al (better sizes and fewer splits over time and a better choice of internal size over external).

But I hear people buy little baggies from Hobby Lobby.
