Hey All,

I'm looking for 7+ player games. Light to Medium weight but not party games.

Ones we already have in the collection that handle this many; 7 Wonders, CamelUp, Deception Murder in Hong Kong.

Thanks,

JO

I really like Outpost and plays well if a bit slow with seven but breaking up into two games is also a good option. There just are a finite number of non-party, non-social deduction games that aren't super light (i.e. 6 nimmt!) that can handle 7+ well.

Captain Sonar is a sweet real time game. Although the turn-based version is pretty good as well.

This is a tough one as most games that play this many are either really long (Mega Civilization, Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition) or are party games.

The only ones I can think of are Sushi Go Party!, Bohnanza, and Between Two Cities

insert "split into two games" suggestion here

Formula D works pretty well with high player counts. I played a 10 player game that went super well.

Carcassonne can go up to that high player count by just buying extra sets of meeples. I got a big box (not sure *Which* one) that added two players so my set goes to 8. We just pass around the bag of tiles and that makes it pretty easy to find whose turn it is.

+1 for carcassonne and you can decrease downtime and ap by letting people draw their tile at the end of their turn.
Also think about including cities, leaders, and babel for 8 with 7 wonders

Several of the Cheapass Games accommodate 7 out of the box (or envelope). Most of the ones that don't can still handle it without issues, just by adding extra player bits. A notable exception is Get Lucky.

VivaJava: The Coffee Game plays surprisingly well with 7-8 players and may even be best with that player count. You work in rotating teams to acquire and draw beans to blend coffee so there is little downtime and a good mix between skills and randomness. It's heavier than the other games you listed but not heavier than other games in your collection.

RoboRally - This is the old version. The new one plays 2-6.

Rush & Bash with the Winter is Now expansion. The base game plays 2-6. The expansion adds two more players.

We play various Fluxx versions with 7 people. Multiple decks can be combined if you desire.

I wouldn't have thought of Carcassone. That could be interesting. Just meeples no extra tiles needed and the game still feels fun?

Shadows over Camelot plays 7, 8 with the expansion. It is one of the few games where players can be added and removed as needed and not really affect game play. (As long as they are not the traitor)

Fillers: Incan Gold, bohnanza ,take 6, ricochet robots , cards against humanity (this is only for mature audience, not politically correct...),

Longer games (but not that long):fearsome floors , room 25 with the expansion. If you've got a huge table, then steampunk rally is a nice game.

I guess some of the filler games could fall into the "party" section...
