Hey all,
I'm working on a game for this year's 9 card PnP contest. You can see it here: [WIP] Count of Nine - Submission to 2018 9 Card Nanogame PnP Contest [CONTEST Ready]

It is a card only game. I call it a 9 card solo Euro game where the player uses resources on the cards (and resources provided by already built structures) to build structures for victory points.

I am calling one playthrough of the deck a "round".

A "game" is multiple rounds, at max when the 9 cards are all used or cannot be used.

But, I want to make the experience a bit longer, so I want one ___________ (game) equal to 2 complete games.

What can I call 2 complete games? "Campaign" sounds a bit too lofty. Is there another term?

Thanks.

I believe "set" or "match" are sometimes used for this.

Thanks. Those make sense, but don't fit well with a solo Euro game.

Maybe I go thematic and call each game a "year" (of construction), or maybe a "season".

Then one complete game equals 2 "years".

Thanks for the idea.

don't really like the DECK, but think it works.

Someone at my WIP thread suggested "phase" for what used to be a "game". I'm going with that for now. A game is now made up of 2 phases.

It's not perfect, but it will work.

Thanks.

Consecutive phases are different. Like a move phase and then an attack phase, or a planning phase and then a resolution phase.

If you're just doing the same thing all over again, that's not a phase.

OK.

A "match" will now be made up of 2 games.

Thanks.
