This is the discussion thread for the No Ship Maths Trade for AireCon 2018 in March 2018 in Harrogate, England.

This is the discussion thread for the AireCon 2018 no-ship maths trade, which is a place for friendly banter and where newbies can ask any questions about the maths trade and get advice.

Notes:

AireCon is a friendly and inclusive analog gaming festival in Harrogate International Centre, UK. Whether you've come alone or with a massive group you'll find plenty of fun to be had and new friendly faces to meet. It is held on Fri 9th March - Sunday 11th March.

Re: 'Official' AireCon 4 (UK, March 2018) No Ship Maths Trade Discussion Thread
Fingers crossed for a smooth trade everyone.

Hopefully no late night re-runs after 2 minutes of the original result with withdrawn items that had previously traded that then turn up in the Bring and Buy a few days later

Updated to 2018 (It's not 5 for some reason), thanks for the spot.

I spotted there was a copy of that game in the Bring and Buy, mainly as I was wanting to see how much they got for it

As I said last year, I'm really sorry for the mistake last time. I almost considered not running it again this year because of it.

Heh, it's not five cos we're changing the numbering, so that AireCon 5 will be in our fifth year. Blame the guy that decided to run it every six months in the first couple of years...

Almost like how Windows 10 is Windows 10 rather than 9 (because of the amount of software that compared the version "Windows 9" for 95 and 98.

Rule 6 mentions a "Sweetener." Please would you explain what is this and how does it work?

Sorry for the slow response. Sweeteners are additional games/expansions/promos you may offer along with the main item.

Hi. I’m a newbie to Maths Trades but might give it a try for AireCon. Just to check I’ve understood correctly: to list items, I just “Add Item” to the Geeklist (details in appropriate format etc.). Then there’s nothing else to do until the list closes and we move on to the OLWLG. Is that right? Cheers!

Correct.

The OLWLG does offer an interface to let you add games to the geeklist using your collection data, which you may find more convenient. Unfortunately, OLWLG seems to be having some trouble syncing my collection at the moment.

OLWLG says there's still a couple of hours to submit (8pm rather than 6pm)

Yeah, olwlg goes on a different time. I originally put 8pm, but then changed it to 6 but only updated one of the two. I'll process it around 8pm tonight anyway.

Last time I checked there were 3 people still to submit, so they have another hour.

Trade results are now official.

No cases of arbitrage found.

Please contact your trading partners to meetup next weekend.

Hope you have a great AireCon, for games that did not trade remember AireCon also has a bring and buy.

No problems, although it took a BSOD, a dead Linux machine and me installing java on Windows to bring the results.

Is there going to be an official trading meeting like at UK Games Expo? Makes it much easier to find the trading partners that way

It's a bit odd, both the people you're getting games from have logged into bgg yesterday, I assume you've mailed them

It's the responsibility of the sender to ensure you get the game. If they forget to bring it to AireCon they pay the shipping.
