Mild February spoilers here. Last night my wife and I were playing July when I looked at the board state and realized "if you fly to Lima we win." There were no diseases anywhere near South America at the time.

But I was one yellow card short of curing yellow, which has the "no research lab" and "not an action" upgrades, plus we were Rivals. So if she discarded the yellow card by taking a Direct Flight, I could grab it and cure yellow which fulfilled the last objective we had remaining.

I'm just amused at the in-game appearance of her flying across the world for no apparent reason, in fact out of a disease torn area. I guess she wanted to have a vacation in Peru.

Anyone else have some fun stories about moves that would be baffling if taken "in story?"

One month by chance the last disease we cured was our fully upgraded one. Because of Efficient to Sequence, we could cure it at any time, so we chose not to cure it and finish the game and instead to do a side objective that we thought might benefit future games.

From a story perspective, we had the cure to a deadly disease and just ignored it.

If you think Pandemic Legacy is a simulator, you're sadly mistaken. (-8

For example: each game corresponds to 2 weeks (assuming you lose a game). A two-player game gives each player about 12 turns. If the Generalist spends the entire game going back and forth between Bogota and Buenos Aires, that means they're driving faster than the speed of sound on public highways 24 hours a day.

Late spoilers here, maybe November?

When you have the objective to destroy military bases, I suggested we could just have the operations specialist go somewhere where he has a card,
build a base, then use the card to destroy it. One of the other players wouldn't have it. She said it was against the spirit of the game.

If you are talking about the post directly above yours, that one is tagged as "late spoilers, maybe November".

Yes I was. Haha, I think I would best avoid anything with spoilers.

Thanks,

Moved to a military base. Used the equip action to add c4 to one of my city cards, then used said c4 card to blow up the military base that just gave me the explosives. Bet you regret giving us that security clearance now!
