At page 7 in the manual it clearly says that the yellowish battle board is where you put the player cards.

However throughout the rest of the rulebook they change it - now the yellow board is for enemies.

Does it really matter? They are used exactly the same way so you can swap them any way you want. The only difference is the graphic which was used as a background.
Great game btw.

Yeah, great game - pretty hard though. Three solo runs - no wins.

I noticed this as well. The component list also seems to call it out backwards. I guess the designers really didn't care which one you used?
