Hello everyone,

I have a question about the alliances we can make in “trade phase”

1- I hear that we can make alliances with other nations
So we can pass through the same square without fighting or help him
By cutting off the enemies who is about to Attack his city etc etc

My question is if my army unit is on the same square along with my Ally
Army figures and an enemy attack this square ( let’s say he have one flag and me one for a total of two ) what happens ? How we fight ?

Thank you very much in advance for the answer

I don't know from whom or where you heard about an "alliance" rule, but that's not true. There are no formal alliance rules in the game.

You can agree not to attack each other, you can even agree that one powerful player will put an army close to your city to scare away other players, but you can never have a situation in which one player can end their turn on a space which has another player's figures or city without fighting.

So you and another player can call yourselves allies, but moving into each other's pieces will still result in a battle. There's no benefit to declaring a friendship beyond a show of force to the other players.
