Yahtzee is the first thing that comes to mind but it might be too light of a game for your tastes.

Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age and its wooden peg board practically scream 'pub game'.

The go to for a group, I think would be Liar's Dice, because all you need is dice. No cardboard or anything to get wet/ruined.

Then maybe Zombie Dice or Martian Dice or similar.

If you're not concerned about rolling dice then Hive or the dice version Cubeo are two player games that are a bit more thinky.

I regularly bring Rolling Japan or Rolling America to my pub meet ups. But, nearly any roll-and-write game works.

I also recommend Deep Sea Adventure, as you can make the trail wind around people's drinks and food. whistle

+1 Liars Dice/Perudo with just dice. The classic pub dice game.

Martian Dice is good

Roll-and-writes like Qwixx, Qwinto, and Extra! are great.

Skull doesn’t have dice, but designed as a pub game, although all the components may end up with beer rings.

One of the most portable dice games around is Dice of Crowns entire game fits in a mint tin. Its a very very light dice game but is some good mindless fun in a pocket sized package.

+1 Age of War -- it was originally Risk Express and came in a nice container for rolling the dice.

But for me, it would be one of these:
Cosmic Run: Rapid Fire - a roll-and-write game from Steve Finn
Würfel Bohnanza
Zooloretto: the Dice Game

And, yes, you should just get Tiny Epic Galaxies and be done with it. It's a great game!

Pocket Battles: Celts vs. Romans works well. I've played it on cafe tables a number of times.
