What are you saving them for?

Tearing up the cards is kind of separate from all the other aspects since that would completely eliminate your ability to replay the game. But as for the stickers you might as well use them as they are intended.

One might argue that a ripped card symbol tells you to tear a card up. I personally just put them in a different bag.

The rule book on page #39 explains those event card icons are:
Quote:
Icons directing players to either remove
the event card from the game or return
it to the bottom of the corresponding
event deck after the outcome is resolved.

One might argue that the Infuse Fire symbol tells you to light the board on fire. Others might look to see what the rule book says about the iconography before doing something so drastic.

Drastic? We rip everything in our game. What are you going to do with those events anyway? The permanence is most of the fun.

wait, we aren't supposed to do that?

My standees and minis are also quite beat up from hitting them with an actual sword for each attack.

It's literally a picture of a card being ripped in half. The fire icon is not an icon of a board game being set on fire.

We got the reusable stickers to replace the stickers that came with the game, and any marks on the board (prosperity), we do in pencil so we can easily erase it.
