So, going by the most recent Stonemaier newsletter (https://stonemaiergames.com/e-newsletter/), there appears to be a new expansion on the horizon - very welcome news to me!

I can just about make out the title 'Visit from the Rhine Valley', which I could be wrong about (could be Wine Valley?), though Rhine would make sense as it's Germany's wine-making area.

More visitor cards? Some new mechanics? Who knows!

I want a new building. You buy it and it's a bigger field than any of the three you inherited.

And more varieties of grapes.

And orders that require some condition (like having your color of star in a specified region) in addition to having the wine in order to fulfil them.

Good catch. Have GeekGold for an avatar.

Never had a need for more fields myself, but I really like the idea of orders with conditions. That would be awesome.

According to the picture, it's an alternative set of visitor cards. Let's see the official announcement.

Edit: Not from Uwe Rosenberg, but from another designer that I'm not able to decipher the name.

Thank you

Ah I like the idea of having some extra criteria for special wine orders - especially involving the star/region portion (as in my experience it needs a bit more focus/more reason to fight over the map!)

I did not think you all would be able to zoom in that much on that little thumbnail! I'll take note of that for future e-newsletters.

Clearly not a fan of televised crime dramas.

Enhance! Enhance! Enhance! We got it Jim! With the serial number on that man's wristwatch isolated from this otherwise grainy CC subway security feed, we can finally nail down the true culprit!

More varieties of grapes would be interesting.

I also like the condition concept.

Another thought is (I'm not sure how it could be tracked), but an order that requires a specific blend. ie Cabernet Merlot etc. Or maybe a request for an aged chianti, therefore only sangiovese can be used?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, however I feel it may have come up!

Great news!
The previous mini Viticulture: Moor Visitors Expansion added so many interesting guests to the game.

I’m curious about the wording of ‘alternative’.
Does that mean only the new visitors from the Rhine Valley will be in play, keeping the old visitors in the box?

It sound like that to me. We either use the normal visitors, or the Rhine Valley ones. This should change the game quite a bit depending on how the new visitor cards are different from the core game.

Who is also credited on the Tea and Trade expansion to Uwe Rosenberg's "Fields of Arle"... which is really quite good, in a "not revolutionary, but adding many interesting choices" kind of a way.

So promising then!

No, no, no. Go back further. Remember Deckard in his apartment speaking to his photo scanner screen telling it to pan and zoom to find the clues in Blade Runner??
