If you Defend, can you reduce energy damage taken or is it only effective against health damage?
Same question for generic healing. Is unspecified healing only to health or can it be used on energy too?

Defend applies to both Health and Energy.
Healing should say what type, however if we missed something, it is very likely to heal Health, as there are few effects that heal Energy.
